Betsy Griffing won the appeal she filed with the Montana Supreme Court on behalf of her client.  The Court vacated the tax deed for her client’s property, which had been issued to company specializing in purchase of tax deeds, on grounds that the Montana Department of Revenue had failed to update its ownership records and her client had not received proper notice prior to sale.
