Jill Gerdrum, Attorney at Law
Jill is a partner at Axilon Law Group, PLLC, in Missoula, Montana. She is a civil litigator who focuses her practice in the areas of product liability, trucking/transportation, premises liability, professional liability, insurance defense, and employment law. She serves a broad range of clients including, manufacturers, trucking companies, pharmacies, retailers, municipalities and individuals.
Jill’s litigation and appellate experience has earned her recognition as a “Best Lawyer in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Litigation – Defense” and as a Mountain States “Super Lawyer” in civil litigation defense. She is also the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV” rating for legal ability and ethics.
Jill was selected by the Montana Supreme Court to serve as the attorney member of the Montana Judicial Standards Commission. She is also a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), the Montana Federal Practice Section, Montana Women’s Law Section, and the Western Montana Bar Association. She frequently contributes to publications regarding Montana law and presents at legal seminars.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jill was Montana’s Deputy Commissioner of Insurance and Securities. In that position, she lobbied the Montana Legislature on insurance and securities issues, served as chief of staff to the Commissioner, and worked with industry and consumer groups on regulatory matters. Jill also continues to be involved in her family’s ranch in Grass Range, Montana.
