Since joining Axilon Law Group in 2006, Jill has focused her practice on civil litigation defense, an area where she has successfully resolved matters through motions practice, trials, appeals, administrative hearings, and settlements, working closely with her clients as well as with their insurers. Jill frequently represents employers in state and federal court, as well as before the Montana Human Rights Bureau and other administrative bodies, in a wide variety of employment disputes. She also regularly represents manufacturers in product liability cases; pharmacies in personal injury, professional liability, employment and commercial matters; municipalities in civil cases; and individuals and companies in business disputes.
Jill is recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the Mountain States region and is the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV” rating for legal ability and ethics. She frequently contributes to publications regarding Montana law and presents at legal seminars regarding employment law and federal court practice.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jill was Montana’s Deputy Commissioner of Insurance and Securities. In that position, she lobbied the Montana Legislature on insurance and securities issues, served as chief of staff to the Commissioner, and worked with industry and consumer groups on regulatory matters. Jill has been active on community boards in Missoula and Helena and continues to be involved in her family’s ranch in Grass Range, Montana.
